Absolutely brilliant!
When we visited your stand at the Times Destinations Show last year we had some dreadful memories of staying in a hotel in the Galapagos Islands where I had mosquito bites on mosquito bites (at one point 85 up one side of my body and a further 90-odd up the other side!). We had been using a DEET spray, which had the power to melt the plastic of our writing pens, but did nothing to help in the hotel room; there was such a large number of mosquitoes present largely due to open slats in the door to the balcony above wet ground (so your nets would have been brilliant). In Guayaquil a few days before, we had acquired several bites from mosquitoes in spite of being covered in our DEET spray and wearing two T-shirts !
So we approached your exhibition stand with profound curiosity and determined to find something other than DEET. That does not mean we were easy to persuade! We have come across all manner of bright ideas over the years and there was always a risk that the idea was better than the product. But incognito does smell so good and is quite a powerful blast for a mammal nose, giving good promise that a mossie nose would be confounded! We purchased 2 bottles of the spray, the incense sticks and the soap for an imminent trip to the Caribbean, which has troublespots for malaria and dengue fever.
Well – every time we went out covered in Incognito spray and having used the soap – we saw no mosquitoes! In Antigua I naively thought all would be fine and omitted to use any of your products, coming back home with 30+ bites! Yet a few nights previously we had been to a beach party in Jamaica where all the other guests had been complaining about the mosquitoes and we saw none, and certainly had no bites!
Just recently we were in the Caribbean again. On the first day I was jet-lagged and forgot to use the spray or the soap – and my ankles and legs got bitten. After that we both used the soap and the spray and didn’t see mosquitoes nearby, although they were visible in the distance. Absolutely brilliant! Instead of madly batting at the air every 5 seconds, we were able to relax and get on with the trip! As a product the smell is fresh and attractive, so there is no fear with using it, and the soap is just lovely!
