How To Use It

incognito can be used by the whole family, it is even ok for babies and those with ultra-sensitive skin provided a patch test is carried out first.  These are the recommended suggestions for maximum protection. Where insects are less of a problem or you rarely get bitten then you can take less of these precautions.

To use: hold the bottle 6 inches away from skin or clothing to be sprayed. Hold breath to avoid sneezing and then spray on all exposed skin and clothing. Spray as frequently as required depending on the individual and the intensity of the insects present. It is a good idea to spray yourself whilst naked ideally after washing with an incognito soap or scrub and then after dressing, spray your clothing as well.

On average, one adult will use one bottle of incognito per week. We do suggest you take a spare bottle with you, especially when going to places where you can’t buy more. For children, half a bottle per week should suffice.

Because of incognito’s strength, a very small percentage of users, usually those with hypersensitive skin may develop an irritation to the product. If this could be you, then we suggest you do a “patch-test”, spraying a small area of the body (e.g. inside your wrist) to see if any reaction occurs or alternatively, just use incognito on the outside of your clothing. Always patch test babies and children.

Although to most people the following advice is obvious we still need to point out do not spray incognito into your eyes (or anybody else’s) and to avoid contact with the entire eye area. Apply on face, neck, head and ears by spraying incognito onto your hand and patting the solution onto these vulnerable areas. incognito should be applied both night and day. You will need to reapply incognito after swimming or during periods of excessive perspiration.
“NB. You should always sleep under a mosquito net at night (preferably impregnated) as no topical application will protect you when you sleep, not even a deadly insecticide - which could also poison you!”

incognito should be applied over sun lotions or any other applications. In other words the last thing you apply on your skin needs to be incognito unless you are using deet or another toxic repellent. In this case use incognito as a buffer between you and the chemical to moderate its absorption into your skin. This would only be necessary in very extreme conditions e.g. an area of intense insect activity - like a malaria-infested jungle. You can also use incognito around doors, on netting and window frames to keep out unwanted visitors.

incognito citronella incense sticks can be used in conjunction with the spray for greater protection.

Larger persons tend to attract more mosquitoes because of their greater surface area of skin they emit more kairomones – every individual skin cell produces CO2, lactic acid, heat, etc. So if you fall into this category you will not only need to be extra vigilant, you will also need to reapply incognito more frequently and we recommend that you use other incognito products such as our soaps, sticks and lemongrass scrub to ensure maximum protection.
