How to use incognito insect repellent?
incognito mosquito repellent spray can be used by the whole family. It is safe for babies, even newborns and those with ultra-sensitive skin provided a patch test is carried out first. These are the recommended suggestions for maximum protection. Where insects are less of a problem or if you rarely get bitten by mosquitos then you can take less of these precautions as demonstrated in the video below.
To use: Shake bottle and hold 6 inches away from skin or clothing to be sprayed. Hold your breath to avoid sneezing and then spray on all exposed skin and clothing. After spraying onto skin, pat the area, especially if you are asthmatic or have any other respiratory problems. On average incognito anti mosquito repellent spray will give you up to 5 hours of good protection. Spray as frequently as required depending on the individual and the intensity of the insects present. It is a good idea to spray yourself without any clothes on, ideally after washing with an incognito soap, hair & body wash or loofah soap and then, after dressing, spray your clothing as well. For extra protection apply incognito after sun moisturiser first – use like any other moisturiser.
On average, one adult will use one bottle of incognito natural anti mosquito repellent spray per week in tropical climates. We do strongly suggest you take a spare bottle with you, especially when going to places where insect-bourne diseases are rife and you cannot buy more. For children, half a bottle per week should suffice.
Because of incognito’s strength, a very small percentage of users, usually those with hypersensitive skin may develop an irritation to the product. If this could be you, then we suggest you do a “patch-test”, spraying a small area of the body (e.g. the inside of your wrist) to see if any reaction occurs or alternatively, just use incognito mosquito repellent on the outside of your clothing. Always patch test babies and children. Research has shown that incognito is safe for use on babies of any age but a patch test should still be carried out.
Although to most people the following advice is obvious we still need to point out the following:
- Do not spray incognito mosquito repellent into your eyes (or anybody else’s), and avoid contact with the entire eye area.
- Apply on face, neck, head and ears by spraying incognito spray onto your hand and patting the solution onto these vulnerable areas.
- incognito mosquito repellent should be applied both night and day.
- Reapply incognito natural insect repellent products after swimming, washing and during periods of elevated perspiration.
NB: It is imperative to sleep under a mosquito net at night (preferably impregnated) as no mosquito repellent or application will protect you for the entire time you sleep. Many plug-ins and nearly all mosquito coils emit toxic vapors that can cause very serious health problems so only use them to clear a closed room or outside. Always read the label thoroughly. An LLI mosquito net is the only sure-fire way of not getting bitten during the night. Our strong mosquito repellent spray is clinically proven to protect against malaria when used in conjunction with an impregnated mosquito net. Even if you are staying in upmarket accommodation you need to check that impregnated nets are provided. Be especially wary of claims like, “there are no mosquitoes here” As many hotel staff have been told to say things like this to their guests! If you are traveling for a while and visiting malarial zones then pack an LLI mosquito net – they are lightweight and take up very little room when folded.
incognito should be applied over sun lotions or any other applications. In extreme conditions e.g. an area of intense insect activity like a malaria-infested jungle, it is still a good idea to apply more incognito anti mosquito products than you would under normal conditions. This is also the case if you are especially attractive to insects or consider yourself a “mosquito magnet”! Also read Avoiding Insect Bites for more information on this.
You can also spray incognito around doors, on netting and window frames to keep out unwanted visitors.
incognito citronella incense sticks along with our other products can be used in conjunction with the strong mosquito spray to stop insects buzzing around you.
With our citronella incense sticks, light the tip, blow out the flame and affix the stick in the ground, sand or in a sturdy place. Only use in a well ventilated room or outdoors. Studies show that these reduce landings of mosquitoes on individuals considerably when used in conjunction with a strong mosquito repellent.
Use the luxury loofah soap every 2-3 days. Exfoliating is the only way to remove all the dirt from the skin pores. Bacteria feed off this detritus and excrete a powerful kairomone (attractant to insects).
incognito luxury soap can be used all the time and can be carried with you when you’re out and about, so that you do not need to use any other soap – which may well be attractive to insects. Remember to reapply incognito mosquito spray on the back of your hands after any washing. Talking of washing, the incognito Hair & Body Wash can be used head to toe. Just a little is needed to go a long way. This is an essential item for those on longer trips. It also helps to keep fungal infections at bay, along with nits & other unwanted visitors that like to reside in your hair.
You can use the organic Java citronella oil by diluting at least 1 to 6 before applying to skin. It can be used in any oil diffusers or burners. Add to base oil for massage or bathing. It can also be added to any cream, shampoo, etc. which will turn it into a makeshift insect repellent. Add a few drops to your clothes or luggage to keep them smelling fresh and unwanted small visitors away.
Larger people tend to attract more mosquitoes because of their greater surface area of skin and more cells, they emit more kairomones. Every individual skin cell produces CO2, lactic acid, heat etc. If you fall into this category you will not only need to be extra vigilant, you will probably need to reapply incognito more frequently. We recommend that you use other incognito mosquito repellent products such as our moisturiser, soaps (especially the loofah), sticks, pure organic Java citronella oil and Hair & Body Wash to be on the safe side. At the very least you will need one of the incognito luxury travel bags.
The thread from the bottle neck can come loose in transit so a firm twist is advisable, especially if you plan to take it in a pressurised environment like an aeroplane. It is a good idea to keep the spray wrapped up in a plastic bag which could also be reused to store dirty clothing.
Use insect repellents safely. Always read the label and product information before use. incognito spray has been tested by all the appropriate authorities.
