We’re incredibly proud to announce that incognito® has been honoured with a The King's Awards for Enterprise in Sustainable Development 2026 - one of the UK’s highest recognitions for business achievement.
This award recognises our long-term commitment to creating highly effective insect protection while reducing environmental impact through sustainable packaging, responsible product development and climate-conscious business practices.
For us, sustainability has never been a trend or a marketing exercise. It has always been part of how we think, innovate and grow.
Protecting people without compromising the planet
At incognito®, we believe products designed to protect people should not create unnecessary harm to the environment.
That belief drives every stage of what we do - from ingredients and packaging to logistics and manufacturing.
Our mission is simple:
- Create effective, scientifically tested insect protection
- Reduce environmental harm wherever possible
- Help consumers make more responsible purchasing decisions
And importantly - create products people genuinely use and trust.
Because sustainability only matters if the product actually works.
The impact so far
1. 213,250+ Litres of DEET-based pesticides prevented from entering the environment
By choosing incognito® products instead of traditional DEET-based repellents, consumers have helped prevent an estimated 213,250 litres of harmful pesticides from polluting waterways and ecosystems since trading began.
This reflects the growing impact of consumers choosing effective, natural alternatives to conventional chemical insect repellents.
2. Over 26 tonnes of plastic prevented from reaching landfill
Between 2020–2025, incognito® prevented more than 26 tonnes of plastic from entering landfill through recyclable and sustainable packaging initiatives.
We continue to prioritise circular economy principles across our packaging and operations.
3. Sugarcane packaging that helps capture carbon
Most incognito® packaging is made using sustainably sourced sugarcane plastic.
For every 1kg produced, up to 4.6kg of CO₂ can be removed from the atmosphere.
Our sugarcane packaging is:
- plant-based
- renewable
- fully recyclable
- designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising quality
Unlike conventional plastics, sugarcane plastic is produced using a renewable crop that actively absorbs carbon as it grows.
4. Over 109 tonnes of CO₂ reduced since 2018
Through sustainable packaging innovation, operational improvements and climate-conscious business practices, incognito® has reduced over 109 tonnes of CO₂ emissions between 2018 and 2025.
This forms part of our wider commitment to reducing environmental impact across every stage of our business.
5. Reef-Safe and nano-free formulations
Protecting the environment goes beyond packaging.
Our products are designed to be:
- reef-safe
- nano-free
- paraben-free
- environmentally responsible
We pay particular attention to reducing potential harm to waterways and marine ecosystems while still delivering highly effective insect protection.
A long-term commitment to sustainability
Receiving The King’s Award is an important milestone - but it is not the finish line.
incognito® has committed to:
- halving emissions by 2030
- reaching Net Zero by 2050
- continuing annual carbon auditing and emissions reduction initiatives
- improving packaging innovation and supply chain sustainability
We are also proud signatories of the SME Climate Hub pledge, helping guide our long-term climate strategy.
Sustainability through everyday decisions
Sustainability is also embedded into how we operate day to day.
Across the business we:
- minimise unnecessary printing
- use recycled paper where required
- support hybrid working
- encourage walking, cycling and public transport
- reduce transportation emissions through smarter fulfilment and logistics planning
We have also worked to consolidate deliveries and reduce unnecessary transportation journeys across our supply chain.
Thank you
Winning The King's Awards for Enterprise is an incredible honour for our team.
But more importantly, it reinforces what we’ve always believed:
