Our Latest Sustainability Update

From pioneering plant-based insect protection to reducing our carbon footprint, sustainability has always been at the heart of what we do.

Every year we measure our impact, review where we can improve and look for new ways to reduce our environmental footprint without compromising on performance.

Here's a look at some of the progress we've made over the past year.

Our carbon footprint is falling

One of our biggest milestones this year is a 19.8% reduction in our overall carbon footprint compared with the previous reporting year.

We've also improved our carbon intensity by 21%, meaning we're becoming more efficient as a business while continuing to grow. 

Smarter packaging, lower impact

We're continuing our transition towards more sustainable packaging.

Today, our core product range uses renewable sugarcane plastic, helping to lock carbon into our packaging rather than relying on conventional fossil-fuel plastics. We've also introduced 100% recycled ocean plastic packaging for selected products, giving discarded plastic a second life.

Every improvement, no matter how small, helps reduce our impact on the planet.

Cutting emissions behind the scenes

Sustainability isn't just about the products you see - it's also about how they reach you.

Over the last year we've continued shifting a significant proportion of our international freight from air to sea, helping avoid more than 27 tonnes of transport emissions.

We've also reduced our Scope 1 and Scope 2 operational emissions to zero, allowing us to focus our efforts on reducing emissions throughout our wider supply chain.

Recognised for doing business differently

This year has also been one of recognition.

Alongside maintaining our commitment as a Certified B Corporation, incognito® was honoured with The King's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development - one of the UK's highest business honours. 

For us, it's recognition that protecting people and protecting the planet can go hand in hand.

Sustainability is a journey

We're proud of the progress we've made, but we know there's always more to do.

Our next priorities include working more closely with our logistics and supply chain partners, expanding lower-carbon packaging solutions and continuing to improve how we measure and reduce our environmental impact.

Every bottle, roll-on and bundle purchased supports that journey.
